Super League - General
The Super League is essentially the RFL Championship reborn with twelve teams. Eleven of the Super League teams are English with the remaining from France.
At the end of the season the Top 8 teams play in the Super 8s stage. This means that they play each other once more and the top four from the Super 8s go forward to the Grand Final.
As of 2015 season, changes to the original Super League mean that each team still play each other twice (11 home games, 11 away games) and a Magic Weekend game which is played at a neutral venue. But, there will also be 12 Championship teams who will also play 23 games.
After the initial 23 games are played in both leagues, the 24 Super League and Championship clubs split into three groups based on their positions in the leagues.
